Mackenzie & Elizabeth’s colorful tropical celebration at Lanikuhonua cultural institute, kapolei
Mackenzie and Elizabeth’s wedding was a heartfelt celebration of love, Hawaii, and the people who matter most. As Hawaii residents, they wanted to share their cherished home with loved ones traveling from across the globe, crafting a wedding experience that was as intentional as it was unforgettable. With Love Letter Weddings’ Maid of Honor for Hire service and our floral design expertise, their vision came to life in a day filled with meaningful details, creative touches, and pure joy.
From the start, it was clear how much Mackenzie loved event design, and her passion shone through in every element of their celebration. Instead of traditional programs, guests were welcomed with “The Newlywed Times” newspaper, a playful and personal touch that set the tone for the day. Thoughtful details continued with the seating chart, featuring Polaroids of each guest, and personalized menus adorned with three handpicked adjectives describing the brides’ favorite qualities of each guest—making everyone feel uniquely cherished. Every moment was beautifully timed, from a butterfly release during the ceremony to perfectly chosen songs that heightened the emotions of the day.
Their wedding was also filled with exciting surprises that wowed their guests. From a fire knife dancer showcasing Hawaiian culture to a breathtaking petal drop during their first dance, every moment was infused with wonder and excitement. A highlight of the reception was the saxophone player who "crashed" the dance floor, playing alongside the DJ and energizing the crowd. All of this was brought to life with lush, vibrant floral arrangements that framed the day in timeless elegance, blending Mackenzie and Elizabeth’s style with Hawaii’s natural beauty. Thoughtful, exciting, and undeniably personal, this wedding was a testament to the power of love, creativity, and meaningful celebration.
